Eligibility

As with all funding, eligibility criteria apply. The funding which Tourism Skills Network is currently accessing to support skills development in the tourism and hospitality sector is EU funding from the European Social Fund, which has been match funded by the Learning & Skills Council.
The current eligibility criteria which applies to all our funding is as follows:

State Aid - De Minimus Form v2-1 - April 2008.doc

Businesses
Must have less than 250 employees (fte) and be operating in Cornwall in the tourism/hospitality sector. To evidence this a Company Level Data Capture Form (De Minimis) must be completed by a business seeking support for workforce development through Tourism Skills Network. We need this form firstly to establish that the business is eligible for support and secondly to pass on to the funding organisation - the Learning & Skills Council - in order to draw down the funding on behalf of the business so that it does not have to pay full cost for the support it is seeking to receive.

Individual Learning Record.doc

Individual
Must be 16 years of age and above and employed or self-employed in a business (as above)of 8+ hours per week. To evidence this an Individual Learner Form (page 1) must be completed by all learners for whom funding support is sought through Tourism Skills Network. We need the information provided on this form firstly to establish that the learner is eligible for funding support and secondly to pass on to the funding organisation - the Learning & Skills Council - to access the funding on the learner/employers behalf. Without all the information asked for, none of this can happen, so please respect that when we ask for information eg date of birth, it is only because it is essential for the above reasons.
